Being newer to the Westfield area, Bark Grill was last on our list of restaurants to try. The Hostess who greeted us couldn't have had a more bubbly welcoming personality. Our Waitress got to our table quickly to take our drink order and to tell us about the numerous dinner specials. We definitely got there at the right time, as things got quite busy 15 minutes after we came in. Our food came out in a timely manner as well. One of our food items did not come out as ordered, but our Waitress could not get back over to check on us, as she was quite busy with her other tables (no fault of hers). Hard to overstate all the great features of the Bark Grill. First time we've been here but it won't be the last. Mmmm! We were seated quickly, by VERY friendly efficient staff. The Bark Grill has a wonderfully diverse and expansive menu with many Italian options, among others. (some of tonight's other specials were chicken biscuits, prime rib, steamed mussels and a broiled seafood platter. My husband ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, while I had a custom order of my own concoction linguini with steak in vodka sauce. Excellent. The food at this restaurant was delicious. They were able to accommodate our party of 8 quickly. I was impressed that every customer was asked if they had a reservation. As we are not from the area, this is something to keep in mind for out-of-town visitors. Our server was excellent. My only issue was the lack of a credit card policy, which is unusual in this day and age. Make sure to bring cash or a check before dining here. While it may benefit the business to avoid credit card fees, it can be inconvenient for customers. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant with a rating of 4 out of 5.
The coleslaw is homemade with a nice crunch from celery seeds and a perfectly uniform mix of flavors. The perch nugget plate was delicious and beautifully presented. The timing of the dishes was impeccable, with everything being served piping hot from the kitchen, including a random side of steamed broccoli. The staff provided excellent personal attention without being intrusive. I had to interrupt my review just to savor the experience. Each dish deserves 4.9 stars, begging the question of why not a perfect 5?

We found this place by accident because the place we drove up for was closed. And Holy cow are we happy we found it! The food was DELICIOUS, the service was AWESOME and fun to talk to, the atmosphere was very nice. We HIGHLY recommend getting an amazing Italian dinner here! scratch made coleslaw, nice bite to it, celery seed, perfect, uniform size medley. delicious, perch nugget plate, absolutely beautiful timing was spot on, every single item came out piping hot fresh out of the kitchen. even a random side of steamed broccoli. excellent wait staff attentive while not being annoying. i had to stop to write a review. worth every one of it's 4.9 stars, why not 5 is my question?!
It was really busy when we went here on a Friday night. The hostess got us seated pretty quickly though. That?s were it ended. It took over 45 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we received our food and we only ordered a meatball park and Italian sand which. Service was ok.
The soup of the day is consistently delicious and fresh, and the salad dressings are homemade. It's always a satisfying meal. For those willing to dine later on Fridays and Saturdays, aim for around 8 PM or slightly after to avoid the busiest dinner rush.

The prices were reasonable and the seafood soup was incredible. The portion size of the fish fry was smaller than what I'm accustomed to, and the prime rib could have used more seasoning. However, I would still consider going back overall.
