"Bring your own sugar. Stayed two days and no sugar in their coffee. Big sign says they are out of sugar. I would think somebody could just go to a local store and buy sugar. I mean how difficult can that be?"

Stayed here for four nights to attend an event held at the nearby convention center. Quality Inn is usually my go to brand when staying in new cities since they're reasonably priced and most are reliable. I could have stayed at a hotel closer to my event, but since those are the likes of Hilton. Hyatt, and so on, I would've paid a lot more, and over four nights, that can really add up. I would give this zero stars if I could. Living 2 hours away, we choose to stay u0026 do a park and fly the night prior to our early morning departures. The location was near airport and shuttle claimed every 30 min. This was our first and last time using the facility. Checking in and the lobby seemed fine. Once given our key, we had to walk down a long, extremely filthy hallway. The carpet was absolutely disgusting. The smell in the hallway and our room was nauseating. The room was not well maintained at all. This hotel is one of many on Mannheim Road. Wedged (literally) between a major highway and a major street, this hotel is not quiet. In addition, outside my room was lawn and a flock of communicative birds. Not owned by Choice Hotels, recently acquired by new owners, the property offers NO breakfast. In my room the toilet was kid size (small, low) and the bathtub had a slick bottom and no grab bar where it would have been needed. From the hotel, the airport shuttle works well; from the airport you may need to call. Horrible place. The shuttle will take forever to arrive. The driver is clearly doing other gigs with it. Staff is completely incompetent and indifferent. The corridors are full of a weird stench (combination of urine and stale cigarette smoke). It is a test of strength to walk through them. Roaches and ants in the bathroom The power in our room randomly went out. Had to wait around in the dark until someone went and fixed it. We thought an overnight halt while transiting would be fine. Nope. Nooooo. No no no no no. Never again. Unless you’re really strapped for cash stay at any of the million other hotels in the vicinity.
Stayed here since it was close to O'Hare and the Blue line. The shuttle service was great. Dropped us off right by the train. When we came back the van was there. Love how it runs every 30 minutes. The restaurant is also great! We arrived at the hotel right before midnight, and even though they were done serving food, they put some french fries in for us. There is also a nice selection of drinks. This was our second stay here and would not hesitate to stay again! I also have to mention the staff is very friendly and helpful!
My husband and I stayed here for 2 reasons, one being the proximity to O'Hare. The other being that their listing online indicated they had breakfast. when we got to our room, the booklet inside the room also indicated they have breakfast in the mornings. we got up the next morning and went to have breakfast, to find out they don't offer it. Had to pay for breakfast at O'Hare. there were plenty of other hotels we could have gone to had we known they didn't actually have breakfast. Very disappointed.
The hotel was very nice. Clean and the king bed was huge. Bathroom was clean and well appointed. A highlight was actually the restaurant “Q Bar and Grill”. Excellent selection of beer and wine and food! Reasonable prices. I will review them separately. But if you’re using the hotel as an overnight in Chicago, don’t worry about finding a relaxing place to spend the night. One thing for the hotel: Room 124 was labeled as “non smoking” but the cigarette fumes coming from that room filled the hallway.
This place needs an update. The ceilings in the room looked like they were ready to crumble. The carpet was awful. For me the location was a one star because of the noise from the highway but as far as distance from the airport that would have been a 5. Nice shuttle service to the airport and they let you leave your car. I will add they had a very good front desk lady working the evening we were there.
The front staff were so helpful. And the hotel was lovely. We had food and drinks in the bar. The food was amazing very reasonably priced and great portion size. My teenage daughter cleared her plate which doesn’t happen that often. Lovely helpful bar staff and the shuttle drivers were great as well
