I really like this bar. I can?t believe how long it took me to actually try it out! Well I did move to silver spring at like the peak of the pandemic so maybe it was closed. I think it was closed. Anyway holy heck this place has great beer, great food, and great vibes. I feel like there are just constant great jams playing on the juke box. The happy hour prices are legit. Great Dive Bar, keeping it real in the midst of a glass and steel downtown Silver Spring. Draft beer list of about a dozen rotates seasonally and has something for everyone. Looking for something in particular? There's a massive craft beer list! Burgers are a mainstay at QH, but try the fried onion rings too. Tater tots are surprisingly good as well. The secret? They set the deep fryer temp high which makes the fried foods crisp and not greasy. Vegan options are available
We just happened upon the Quarry House after leaving another restaurant with a bad experience in search of somewhere to eat. We had my 8 year old daughter and after walking into what seemed like a dark basement and a 2-page food menu, my daughter burst into tears and we decided to just make the best of it. This was a cool little place that we kind of stumbled upon. A nifty funky vibe awesome food by the way. Alexander the server was scooting around the restaurant very hard worker. The food portions are definitely fair I recommend the hot wings and/or the burger that has the egg and bacon on it. I?m sure all of it?s delicious but that?s what I had. Would definitely will come here again when in town.
Quarry House Tavern offers an impressive selection of beers, and the burger I ordered was among the best I've ever had. I tried the Nepenthe's Strange Beast and the spicy club burger. The staff were incredibly friendly, and I just learned they host trivia nights at 7. It's a shame we live an hour away, because I can definitely see ourselves returning frequently.
LOVE IT. it was closed for a while but open now. I've been looking high and low for a potential watering hole, with good beer, good food, rock music and reasonable prices. This places fits that bill. Gonna make it a regular spot for me for sure! Edit: had the Seared Ahi Tuna sandwich today! Simply delicious!
It’s dark and quirky. Most of the staff are indifferent to customers but they are competent. Great happy hours. Bluegrass night is awesome.
