I absolutely love this bar—it's easily become one of my new favorites! There’s something special about the local bar vibe, and the Railroad Inn really captures that. They have a pool table, a dartboard, and a small stage that I assume is for live bands. The bartenders are fantastic; they make you feel right at home. The owner was there as well and he was just as cool. Everyone is super friendly and genuinely wants you to have a great time. And the location? You can't beat it—it's literally right downstairs from the LIRR. Plus, the train theme throughout the bar is perfect! They don’t serve food, but you can order from the fantastic burrito place just down the street, which is a huge plus. Ov...

The Rail doesn't offer a regular menu; instead, they provide catered food for special events. It has a friendly, Cheers-like atmosphere where local tradesmen often stop by after a long day in the city. You'll find neighborhood residents mingling with former locals who come back to visit. At times, the bar is calm and relaxing, while other times, it's lively and bustling! Most patrons are familiar with one another, and Billy and his staff really know their customers. It's not an upscale place—though the ladies' room is quite nice—but it has a welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home.

I had one Guinness, and then I made my escape. As a tourist, I was hoping to find a place to relax and meet some locals, but this pub wasn't the right spot for that. The bartender was friendly, but she seemed more interested in chatting with her regulars than engaging with me. Don't you all work for tips? That was a big misstep. Huge, in fact. Time for me to go elsewhere for some shopping (or drinking). Still, I did leave a tip.

If you find yourself in Valley Stream and decide to head down the steps, you should definitely check this place out. The locals are fantastic, and the prices are great too. Engaging in conversations with the locals feels like a bonus, and you'll find plenty of friendly interactions. The sound of the Long Island Rail Road in the background adds to the overall atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit! Reserva una mesa ahora

This is a really cool local spot (I mean that in a loving way)! They sometimes have live music, and you can enjoy darts, pool, and a jukebox. The atmosphere is fun, attracting mostly a younger crowd, but it’s comfortable for people of all ages.

An ideal stop-in if you're not fussy, unassuming and just want to get a couple beers and a shot in before your train. Can't say much else, it's old school in its own ways

Amazing! Highly recommend staying here. Friendly staff. Beautiful accommodations. Short walk to the center of town. Check out their restaurant in town too!

Great bar to hang out at while waiting for the LIRR chaos to pass. The staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. Reserva una mesa ahora

Dive bar city. If your guy just looking to hang out and drink with your boys you're in the perfect place. It's big.
