RAILROAD CAFE went there last night to hang with a friend and I was super impressed by their new menu and the dishes we choose. (I mean, for a bar pub the food was really good!!! We got this KALE salad with walnuts and goat cheese and apples with a vinaigrette that was amazing and POLRK Belly marinated in Korean BBQ sauce over a bed of Asian Koleslaw. (I wish I had taken a photo. Moreover, the bar area is very beautiful looking, by train over you (Kids love this). And they have a beautiful outdoor deck for outdoor seats.... The Railroad Cafe is a small jewel of a pub that people may forget.... And they support local welfare! The Junior Womans Club has collected Girls Night Out where they giv...
This place is a secret food gem. I ordered a cheese steak with a side of jalapeño mayo and gravy (which is delicious) and for 10 bucks i got a huge sandwich with fries. The bread was nicely toasted, steak was amazing. I'm usually picky about my cheese steaks but this one was amazing. After eating half, i was completely full and I'm a 6'5 guy... i can eat. I also ordered a steak from here before which was also amazing, that's why I decided to order a cheesesteak and give it a shot. I don't ever write reviews but this place was excellent and i think more people should give it a shot. The owner Sam is a super cool guy.
I've been visiting this restaurant since it opened nearly 30 years ago, and it never fails to impress me. While it may not be as trendy as it used to be, the food remains delicious, the service is warm and welcoming, and the little train still brings a smile to my face!
Dined here on 5/15/21. This was our 1st time eating here. Was very quiet but nice and comfortable. My wife had pastrami and I had roast beef. Both were extremely lean and tasted great. Along with fries and cole slaw, both were great sandwiches. Will eat there again.

The pasta portions are significantly larger than what you'd find at most other restaurants. The pasta itself is delicious, the service is excellent, and the menu is very reasonably priced!
I really enjoy this place! It’s very clean, the sandwiches are great, and it’s spacious enough for a nice lunch.
The food was fantastic, Service was fantastic. If I had more time in this area I would go more often.
I think Railroad Cafe is the best place to dinner and it's so close to Rutherford Train Station
