Recent Edit 2024: This place has sadly gone downhill since my review. A couple of months ago the food completely changed and I have stopped going. Last time I was there there were jalapenos? in dishes that shouldn't even have any peppers in them. I hope they sort themselves out at some point. I spent years only going to Red Pearl and now have had to explore other options (great wall seems to be the best). (Below is outdated) Probably the best Chinese restaurant within 3 hours driving of Birmingham. Some of the best dishes are the soups (all of them), the lo mien, and the fried rice noodles. Sorry and I don’t like giving a bad review. I was hoping on my first visit that I would find another good Chinese restaurant in Birmingham. I was near them called in for a take out order. I had heard they were good. Asked the cashier if the spring rolls were fresh bc many times they are not at some other restaurants. She assured me they were so I trusted someone again. Both of them appeared they were prepared yesterday. Not fresh at all. Looked almost burned. The cashew chicken was not fresh either bland. My wife says her steamed dumplings were ok but the dipping sauce was not as good as the other 2 places below. They do not have homemade sauces like the 2 places below. We recommended Black...

The food was probably the best I've had in a while. Just happened it popped up on Google search, looked good, so we went. My 12 year old son loved it. Our server introduced me to a really good meal. It was super spicy, but had a phenomenal flavor and texture. I think it was called double fried chicken something? Sorry, playing catch up on reviews. The service was really great also. Just a good experience all around

I’ve been here three times and I like the food it satisfied my urge. The service was very very slow. I would not recommend dining in if you only have 30min. I had six people in my group and it seemed like we each were charged for something that we didn’t order. I think there was a communication issue, please become more fluent in English. I mistakenly thought that if I ordered 10 lbs of boiled crayfish, it would be completely fresh. They did charge me less than the advertised price, but it was obvious that some were freshly boiled and others leftover and reheated. Totally disappointed. Buyer beware!

Had lunch at the Red Pearl yesterday. After eating about half of the meal my wife and I were surprised at the amount of liquid on the plate. Best guess oil and water. 18 hours later still have a upset stomach. Will not go back.

The food is wonderful but the service is terrible. Our server today, a young Chinese lady was extremely rude and behaved like she was doing us a favor. The good food compensated all that though! P
