Red Robin Gourmet Burgers And Brews

We 've been going to Red Robin for decades, it has always been a good place to eat. This visit was one star off. We arrived and no one was at the front. A kitchen worker brought out food to a waiting Dasher and another person waiting for pick up said he had been there for ten minutes. Not a great sign for a GrubHub driver to be waiting that long without being acknowledged by the host staff. Mind you, this was a Thursday night, after the rush hour had calmed, the place wasn 't packed. When the host finally came out, my husband held up two fingers, she grabbed the menus and walked away, we followed. She wandered towards the kitchen and around a corner, to a spot right outside the kitchen door....

The burgers and drinks at this restaurant are good, but the sweet potato fries were terrible. Despite the additional fee of $1.45 for the sweet potato fries, what I received was disappointing. The fries were cut too thin, dry, and either too hard or soggy. When I asked the server if their regular fries were also like this, she said no. I ended up asking for regular fries to replace the terrible sweet potato fries. It was surprising that they would charge extra for such poor quality.

The majority of the servers are young, but they are consistently friendly and respectful. I enjoy the burgers at this restaurant and have yet to find one that I didn't like.
