My husband, 22 year old daughter and I came into Red Robin at 7pm on 6/20/23 for dinner. We asked for a table and the hostess said they didn't have a table. I told her we would wait 30 minutes later I asked how much longer we would need to wait (mind you the restaurant was practically empty) and she told me she didn't know. She was so rude and unhelpful. We ended up walking out and drove 15 minutes to the Covington location and had a great experience. If I were the manager I would rethink my choice of hostess. She made a horrible first impression. She couldn't have cared less if we ate there or not. We try to support businesses in Kent, but we're going to scratch this location off of our list.
We were taken care of and served promptly although throughout our dining experience not once did the serve come and check in and see if we needed a refill or any more fries. My wife ordered a well done bbq whiskey burger but when she took a bite out of it it was medium rare and extremely oily. My burger was completely fine and well done like I asked. I ordered the cheese dip bacon cheeseburger. Other than that, the atmosphere was lively as you'd expect with Red Robins.
Not bad for Red Robin! Chara served is and was a pleasure. Our food came out fast and there was no wait to be seated on a Friday evening. It wasn't noisy. I got the impossible burger and asked for avocado which they put on generously. Compared to the impossible whopper at Burger King though, not that great imo! The sweet potato fries were decent. My husband got the scorpion burger and garlic fries and said it was about 3 stars.
