Thank you. James Douglas to honor my gift card that expired during the lockdown. I treated myself to Swine-Fritten, followed by Brisket and waffles as a desert. The food presentation was spectacular and the meat was an absolute poetry. Almost a little emotional about this amazing work of art made in your kitchen here in Manchester. My fiancé and I came here on our first date 5 years ago and haven't been for a while. Food was good as always, had the burnt ends which I think used to come in a sauce (please bring that back! and the frickles to start. Both had donut burgers which were so good followed by ice cream. Cocktails were expensive- happy hour Monday to Wednesday, could maybe offer it til Friday? Waitress was lovely and very attentive.
going as food experiences, I can honestly say that was the best. the event is welcoming, the staff was exceptional, the service exemplary and eating. I can't exaggerate how amazing the quality of each meat is and the portion size will blow it away. whether they have to eat a junky or just enjoy quality this place is a must. thanks for a fantastic evening. Arrived early as planned timing wrong but staff were very helpful in moving time. Excellent friendly service and food was fantastic. I can highly recommend the bin lid sharing platter for two. Just make sure you are hungry and not planning much for tea. Reserva una mesa ahora
Great service and quality, one of the best beef burgers in Manchester! Unfortunately, the chicken burger wasn't so good, as it was really low in salt and a bit overcooked. The sauces were amazing! We'll visit it again for sure!
I hate to admit it, but I was not at all impressed with this restaurant. As soon as we entered, we were hit with a strong smell of BBQ smoke that lingered throughout our entire visit.
regularly at red, service always great, no matter how busy. eating is amazing. highly recommended. but bring back jalapeno packed in speck!

"Velvet bar, restaurant and hotel has been an iconic place in MCR's gay village for a long time and I popped here yesterday for some drinks with friends. It's the same as I remember from a few years back, a great place to socialise and drink with friends. If not looking a little tired now, I think Velvet is in need of a little TLC but still there's a good day or night to be had here."
