"I initially went to this place alone about 3 years ago and wanted to take my wife but never any available parking. Now there is a Swiss tram line into Weil am Rhein that stops right in front of the restaurant (yeah!). As I said the food is very good (fresh) and the server very friendly - better English than before, but the menu is all in German & the specials (first page) in weird cursive writing difficult to discern if you don't know German real well. rom Hind is beef (usually tough), Kalb is calf (more tender but not to US standards), Poulet in chicken, Schwein (pork)...The only downside of this restaurant that probably turns most people off (maybe more Americans than Europeans as Europeans tend to have very different attitudes towards smoking) is the cloud of smoke in the entrance (bar area) - don't worry the restaurant area is door sealed off (no smoking). However, whenever the server (waitress) opened the door, smoke would waft in. For this reason I would pick a table at the back of the dining area. Also, not as crowded earlier in the evening (prior to 20:00). We will go back with our children as well. Nice selection of salads which is also sometimes lacking in German restaurants."
