I have been a patron of Remedy for years and can confidently say that it has the best coffee in Southport. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it one of my top choices for breakfast or lunch. Unfortunately, the staff's behavior has been disappointing and I feel compelled to leave a review after multiple unfriendly encounters. Nice afternoon ruined when we got the bill. Jyst wanted to warn others. Drinks menus and offers very misleading. Gin we picked said served with berries and lemon tonic. When we came to pay said we had to pay extra for lemon tonic. When I queried why When menu clearly said served with berries and lemon tonic I was told by very condescending manager that it was a recommendation only and didn't come with the tonic although it did appear to come with the berries. Very misleading. I explained that if I bought a meal that said served with chips I wouldn't expect to pay extra for the chips but manager was very dismissive. Using flat above, tried lunch first. Blown away. Not fast food. Just very good, more than worth a little wait. Good atmosphere, staff a delight. Plates HOT, food equally so. Some of the food combinations showed originality, thought and a real appreciation of food. Complain? I couldn't even find an observation. Had breakfast. 4 of us all different all arrived on time, perfect. Even have real pepper grinder for a spot on poached egg. Defo be eating again before leave. I recently took my two energetic grandsons on a visit to the lovely botanic gardens, and we decided to make a quick stop at Remedy in Churchtown. The staff at this little gem of a cafe made us feel incredibly welcome, and the coffee was absolutely delicious. Although we didn't have any food on this visit, I have dined there before and the food was spot on and freshly made. Be prepared to wait a little longer for your meal, but it's worth it for the freshness. I highly recommend this place and its wonderful staff.

I was meeting up with a close friend in the neighborhood and unexpectedly discovered this hidden gem. After a leisurely walk through the Botanical Gardens and exploring the charming village of Churchtown, I decided to have lunch and catch up at Remedy. Despite the nostalgic atmosphere of Churchtown, Remedy offered a menu with modern options and a wide selection for vegetarian diners. The service was excellent and the overall ambiance was warm and inviting. I highly recommend it!
Disappointing staff attitudes. Unwelcoming, unfriendly...felt like we were an inconvenience. Elderly deaf man on mobility scooter parked up and came inside asking for directions. Staff were very rude to him. We just had our coffees and left. Food and menu looked ok, but we didn't try it.
Went for lunch and they weren't busy but we had to wait about 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Definitely not acceptable especially as it was only cheese on toast and poached eggs . No explanation or apology ! Be a while before we try there again

We went on fathers day. The food was excellent and a nice touch to give the dads a little gift. The only thing that let it down was the waitress was a little miserable.
Absolutely delicious veggie breakfast cooked to perfection. Lovely service. Sat outside, lovely decor. Definitely recommend.
