I rated the service four stars because, on a few occasions, I encountered an employee who seemed to have an attitude while I was ordering and paying. Customer service is very important to me. If there were another location closer to me, I might have stopped going, but since my husband loves the chicken, I've continued to visit. I will say that during my recent visits, I haven’t seen that employee, and the staff who assisted me were very polite and nice.
Also, when I dined in, the restaurant was clean. Overall, I would recommend Pollo Loco!
Unfortunately, the restaurant no longer offers the chickenless chicken option, which means there are no vegan choices available anymore. This is disappointing because their veggie chicken used to be quite delicious. On the bright side, their Pollo Loco dish remains excellent. You can forgo the cheddar and creamy cilantro, but they do have a salsa bar with a variety of sauces to choose from. This used to be a go-to spot for a quick meal, but it now feels incomplete without that key menu item.
The food was served ice cold, and I've experienced dry chicken for the third time in about a month. My burrito today was disappointing and cost me $10. I also didn't receive any napkins or the sauce I requested. When I first ordered the Chipotle avocado burrito, it was delicious—hot and spicy. However, the last two times it has been bland and lacking flavor. After two disappointing burritos and a terrible family meal I recently tried, we won't be returning.
It's a hit and miss. Half the time is good and right. The other half is wrong. Sometimes the chicken is good, sometimes dry. Sometimes the customer service is super, others, they can not get a item right even if you order only 2 items. 2 1/2 stars for me. And just because I love the double chicken tostada when it's done right. But would be much better with black beans.

Just stop by El Pollo Loco to buy dinner for my kids, because they love the Chiken and M&Cheese, and I got home and find out that the chiken is burn, just by opening the box you can smell the burning Chiken, and this is not the first time last time I went the Chiken was dry and hard looks like was cooked long time ago ?!! So please check the food quality.
I've been here for years. I was instantly surprised how beautiful the guy was in the front and how fresh the food was. I was also surprised how high their ratings for a faster food type restaurant were. Usually most of these restaurants are under 4. I just wanted to add my 5 stars to the sum. You will not be disappointed with this Baja style faster food.
I'm a fan of El Pollo Loco, but this time I ordered a 2-piece chicken combo. I paid $11.27, which included a drink and two sides. The chicken was decent, but it’s not enough to fill one adult. For the same price, I could get a more satisfying meal at another fast food place. The best value here is definitely the family combos.
update the chicken without chicken. they have no vegan option more. darn, this place was a favorit for a fast holding point. ensemble. pollo loco crushes it. omit cheddar and cremig cilantro, but there is an salsa bar so many other options for soße updated by previous review on 2020-10-18

Amazing food! It is always so clean inside and the music is great. The food is high quality and my husband with celiac can eat there without worrying about a reaction. You don't feel disgusting after you have eaten there. So delicious!
The service was quick and friendly. I heard that the burritos are excellent, but I opted for the two-piece chicken meal.
