Tried this place for the first time last night, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very flavourful and fresh. My husband got the beef pad thai, and I think this is one of the best pad thai's I have tasted in the city (besides the food truck at the Fringe Festival). I got the satè beef noodle bowl, and it was very tasty. We shared the ginger chicken and vegetable and shrimp and pork steamed rolls. The ginger chicken had a fantastic flavour and the peanut sauce for the rolls was also probably the best I've had in the city. All and all, great experience. We will definitely be back!
Ordered from Skip the Dishes. They didn't have the chicken salad sandwich available, so they called and offered us a second bacon cheeseburger. So my partner had two bacon cheeseburgers, which come with fries. We also shared pork salad rolls and fried shrimp (kinda like a shrimp corn dog), which were really good. I had the Szechuan noodles. Very good and were not dry like many noodle dishes from Asian restaurants. Overall, excellent food and affordable.
I ate at restaurant 224 for the first time last week. I ordered take out as I work near by. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not very appealing. I ordered black bean veggies and shrimp, shrimp pad Thai and a spicy deep fried shrimp. (My friend and I wanted a shrimp feast ; Everything was flavourful and delicious. The shrimp were cleaned properly. Also when picking up the owners were very friendly. I will be back. <br/
Small but great.. Been a fan of this place since I first tried it with my father. Great fresh food everytime. Decor was a bit boring for a bit but they are doing some great changes and Its getting better everytime I'm in. Staff is almost like a family when you walk in the doors. This place is small and inexpensive but you won't leave hungry.
Last week, my family and I come and try for food at this restaurant. It make us surprised. Because, the new owner has changed most of things inside. It looks new that we came here before. We ask for dinner for 4. It is very delicious. A lot of food for us. We make sure we will come back again.
