the baudy where so many impressionist artists have stayed, including the entire colony of American painters who came to giverny before the First World War. the place is well preserved, with an artist's workshop in the garden. We chose to have lunch in the large room, among the many paintings. a beautiful salad for my wife, an excellent place for me, with a red wine in pichet. a fast, efficient and smiling service. Here's a good surprise in a village so touristic. Maybe because, despite a good time, we had avoided the terrace.
small snack taken in these places, to make the curious I confess. no problem finding the inspiring place is charming, authentic, bucolic. the artists who lived here had felt the good energy of this building and its exteriors hosting a somewhat mysterious and poetic art workshop. If you visit the gardens of the foundation of the monet, stop here for general impression. We are at the heart of a high impressionist place after all.
a little dream for this evening at dinner at the restaurant baudy, we certainly ate at one of the tables where at some time of the artists painters friends of claude monet came to eat, cezanne, renoir, rodin, sisley etc.! anyway we ate very well, nice setting and service to the top. You have to visit the garden behind the restaurant
We ate very well. The quality was at the rendezvous. Everything was very well cooked. the staff is very pleasant. a place full of history that is worth the detour: the visit of the gardens and the workshop should not be missed.
