A little disappointed by the restaurant that we were sold as the best in town. Fried meat on today's menu: it could have been pangasius. The fish didn't taste good even though it was well cooked. Homemade gazpacho and tapenade as an excellent starter. Big disappointment and disgust at dessert with a lemon tartlet covered in whipped cream with a taste of curdled milk. Very warm welcome from the staff who took great care.
absolutely perfect from beginning to end. beautiful and relaxed mood, extremely friendly, personal and attentive service and eating was an absolute pleasure. as an appetizer fish with asparagus and entrecôte for the main tarte tatin and cream Brûlée au vin as desert everything perfect...don and extremely tasteful I rarely go in superlative, but this restaurant is just what and how it wants to be!
Die Speisen, Fischsuppe, Fisch, Rindstatar, Safranrisotto. Alles hervorragend frisch und sehr lecker zubereitet. Das Rest. liegt im Zentrum des schönen Städtlein Estavayer le Lac. Gemütlich und einfach eingerichtet mit einem sympathischen Service. Einzig der Preis für 1Lt. Mineralwasser ist frech, CHF 9.--/lt. Alles andere ist preislich eher gehoben, aber gerechtfertigt. Wir kommen wieder.
Following the arrival of the new owners, the quality of the services, the menus, the presentation of the plates, the flavors offered and the good humor, helpfulness, advice from the entire team, I highly recommend this restaurant for have a nice time there! La Gerbe d'Or is a nice restaurant at the old center of Estavayer. It is a small place with very good food and a very friendly service. The salad served was very good with a very nice vinaigrette. The fish soup served in a large...bowl and with garlicbread and aioli was very good as well though missed a little the spicy touch I like in such a dish.
Very good restaurant renowned for its cuisine. The dishes are very varied but can quickly get a little expensive all the same. The hunting season is worth the detour. The service is top notch. The terrace is, however, very small and not ideally located, due to the location. The interior is not very well appointed.
