Arrived at the restaurant two hours before the beginning of the opera at the Avenches arena. Waited for 35 min for someone to take our order. The starter was an old and very small green salad. Waited another 40 min to get our main course. The pizza was ridiculously bad soggy, tasteless and with half the normal topping. The wine list was very limited, consisting of heavily overpriced, bad wine. Horrendous service (a complete lack of service more precisely). AVOID AT ALL COST
Schönes und gepflegtes Lokal mit angenehmem Ambiente mitten in der Altstadt. Die Bedienung war kompetent und sehr freundlich. Wir hatten asiatische Speisen bestellt, die schön angerichtet waren und soweit auch gut schmeckten. Bei einigen hätten wir uns etwas mehr Authentizität gewünscht. Alles in allem ein Lokal, welches wir mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen!
Wir bestellten zwei Gerichte: ein Cordon Bleu und ein Schweinefleisch mit Honigsauce. Das Cordon Bleu war wunderschön, mit 2 Käsesorten, Pommes Frites und etwas asiatischem Gemüse, das dem Gericht eine neue Dimension verlieh. Liebte es.Das Schweinefleisch wurde meistens auf asiatische Weise gemacht, aber mit einem Schweizer Touch.Sehr empfehlenswert.
Open on Monday at noon, how lucky were we to pass through the door of the Union restaurant? The welcome from the owner is warm and friendly, the service provided by a Ukrainian is competent and charming, and the tartare cut with a knife is perfectly tangy to our taste with crispy and soft fries. Superb establishment, the owner listens to customers. The kitchen is very good. Prices are a little expensive but totally within the range of the region.
Petit restaurant bien situé, les repas de l’entrée au dessert étaient parfait, l’accueil et le service aussi ! Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !
