We reserved this a few months in advance in the hope of a special anniversary dinner in Provence. Although the waiter was very attentive and our Muse Bouche was beautiful, We could not understand why we had to bear blind sun in our eyes! It was absolutely so... disturbing that this supposed luxury restaurant had not considered how unpleasant it is to let the sun flow in the eyes! It was so unpleasant that other sunglasses donate. A couple swapped places so that their hairstyle would block their eyes. My husband and I tried to float. He kept a menu to block the unbearable sun, we tried everything, but it was unbearable! The staff didn't seem to notice!?!?? How does a Hghend restaurant not think about it? Couldn't they come with a simple solution? A shadow? A filter? Differently orienting the tables? Or at least offer to move to a better table after we have seen each other. How can managers think that people should set up with this because they rated “ Michelin”. Are their egos so inflated that they don't care about the entire culinary experience? The cook should be outraged to think that its extraordinary dishes are due to lack of consideration when the Diners experience is reduced. That was one of the worst culinary experiences we had in Provence... and it's not the chef's fault... It's the manager's fault! Don't worry about the comfort of your diners! We had a nice late meal in Les Bonilis. An excellent cook prepares excellent fare with a beautiful “low key” but far beyond experience!

We visited two years ago when we had an incredible meal. in the hope of a similar experience. Unfortunately, the Bastide was sold and the gastronomic experience was terrible. Firstly, they have several menus available, and they are all meat with 1...Fish choice or a total vegetarian menu. We were informed that we both had to choose the same menu as the restaurant policy was... very strange! We chose the vegetarian menu that was an eye irrigation of 130 euros each. Each course would have fit into an egg cup, was served warm and had no taste. We had to return the main course as it was so bad. The total cost of the ingredients would not have come to more than 25 euros. They even served filled artichokes when they were fresh everywhere in the area. Breakfast was just as poor, I asked for fresh fruits and was presented with a small bowl of shrunk grapes, which are still presented on the stem along with some dried figs! Such a contempt if this is an extremely expensive hotel and restaurant. Unfortunately, the view is not enough and the new owners must look back on their restaurant food and politics.

We enjoyed our dinner here on a Sunday evening. Being early at 19.00 we started with an aperitif in the garden lounge area… a dream! Amazing view and good drinks. As we do not eat meat but fish we did not wanna go for the...garden menu and were happy that the chef agreed to replace the meat courses in the big menu by fish… All courses were really good.

Terrible service. The menu was served slowly. The staff was not professional and unorganized at all. The food is not what you expect from 1 star Michelin restaurant. Very disappointing, never again.
