Restaurant Fischerhaus

The restaurant's greatest asset is its scenic location directly by Lake Constance. It is easily accessible by train: I recommend getting off at Kreuzlingen Hafen (not Kreuzlingen then walking around in the beautiful Seepark along the lake shores. The dining room is quite intimate...with stunning views over the lake. However, air-conditioning definitely needs to be improved as it quickly got uncomfortably warm. I was slightly disappointed by the staff: polite and efficient, but remaining rather cold. I was accustomed to more warmth in Switzerland! The starter was a flop: the asparagus salad literally drowned under the strawberry dressing. What a pity! Fortunately the main course was much better: the whole wolffish was fresh and grilled to perfection. As dessert I opted for the Fischerhaus Traum (ice-cream, strawberries and meringue): delicious and refreshing. Prices are at usual (i.e. expensive) Swiss standards. If it was not situated as nicely we would most probably not keep coming back. Food is rather expensive and portions are rather small. But situated right next to the lake and a view direction Lonstanz and towards Obersee which makes it a great place...to visit. Lots of space for kids to play outside.

We were there for an business lunch and the service was nice end professional. The View over the Bodensee is fantastic. The distance between the tabels are enough so that you can have an business conversation without the next table can hear everything you talk...about. The Soup was Great.

very good food and great service. the views are magnificent. The food is delicious and there is a good selection of wines. Also the interior is very stylish and modern. A place to remember.

Everything was perfect and absolutly worth the price! Staff is really friendly and obliging. The ambience near the lake constance is fabulous.
