Restaurant Flam's Gourmandes

I was here with my family. it was a good thing that we had previously made a reservation, as the place was packed (saturday evening). the predominant majority of customers were natives who told for a restaurant that is far from the center of larger cities...and outside the season. the personal was friendly and competent (speaks French, natural, but also German and English). there are traditional dishes of the region elsass, but also other French and Italian dishes. had tarte with escargots flambé? here is a chance! good local wine selection. it was a bit strange to pay theke after having been waiting at the table, but as in rom.

This restaurants ' specialty is the 'tarte flambée ', a local dish which is pretty similar to pizza but garnished with totally different ingredients, a thinner and crustier dough and baked in a wooden oven. In contrast to other local providers of this dish, the tarte flambée...at Flams Gourmandes are rich, well baked, well-proportioned and utterly delicious. Total recommended if you like local food. The menu presents other seasonal dishes aswell. Staff is very friendly. Price is reasonable towards cheap. Full stomach for less than 15 euros.

back in the valley of munster for the holidays, we were looking forward to finding this little restaurant where we have already been during our previous stays. We looked forward to opening on 11/07! our patience has paid since again we have not been disappointed: relatively fast service, reasonable rates, excellent flambées, warm welcome, nice decoration, 2 indoor rooms 1 terrace, parking nearby . do not hesitate to stop there !!

we came after the hike in the mountains and what a great sound it was. for me this was the best tarte flambee that I had in Alsace and would highly recommend it. we sat outside, but the restaurant looks very nice inside. we had the tarte flambee with Munster cheese that they made vegetarian for me and my partner by taking the meat. great service and eat and perfect for a stop after a day in the mountains.

possibility to take a flat entrance, nicely decorated place, very nice waitress, great price, good quality and quantity, dessert also neat (chocolate background with whipped and ice balls. at the end a slate of 20 euros per person for dish/dessert/boisson (wine or soda) do not forget to book or arrive early. We'll be back.

honestly seen the reputation of the place and the quality of the flames I had consumed on the spot. I figured out why not take one to take away. and I wish I had been a little disappointed with the quantity but not the quality. Maybe to plan a flame box and not a pizza box.

The flammekueche here are DELICIOUS. We tried them all, classic, mushroom, Munster etc. and the Munster was the best of all. My son had a pizza which was delicious as well. We only had take-out, so I can't speak for the service but the food...itself was excellent!

beautifully made Tartes-Fambees; I had a fermiere and would like to go for a second, different. also liked the (local) cheese selection. friendly and attentive service, good location on the main road in the surroundings.

We came for a late lunch, at 2pm and the cuisine accepted to stay open for us, a very nice gesture. The service was great and the tartes flambees really delicious. We couldn 't have stop in a better place.
