Restaurant La Palombiere

Being a lover of good food, I can be disappointed with what is on offer at some local restaurants ( though 14€ For a complete meal, including wine, is unheard of in the UK!), but not this time. A lovely dining room, with great ambience and some surprising attention to detail for a local village restaurant. The owner/chef is a charming lady and the day we had lunch the restaurant was full of people, but she managed to cater for everyone entirely on her own! We had soup, entrée, main dish of excellent grilled chicken and 'frites maison', cheese or a choice of dessert, a pichet of red wine and wonderful bread- plus an espresso to finish. All for 14.50€!!! How can you fault this? Pay absolutely...

Pas prévu du tout cet arrêt entre Luzech et Puy l'Eveque, nous a réservé une bonne surprise à 12H30 en semaine; Grande salle conviviale. Pas les uns sur les autres. Menu unique. Une soupe agréable et originale, différente chaque jour. Une entrée crudités et jambon. Le plat : rôti de porc et gratin excellents et copieux. Dessert : île flottante tiède un délice. Pour les autres convives, un gâteau à la noix de coco, maison. 1 bouteille de vin de Pays excellent et fruité, 3 cafés. Le tout pour 4 personnes : 58 euros. Franchement on y reviendra. La patronne est avenante et courageuse. L'endroit est très propre. Le service est un peu long mais on peut le comprendre, elle est toute seule !.... .

Geweldig restaurant. Super lekker eten en een top sfeer. Lekker huiselijk en het eten is ook altijd weer anders. Wij komen er regelmatig en elke keer weer ander eten met goede ingrediënten. Het restaurant word meestal geserveerd door één mevrouw. Ze is de bazin en ze kookt. Er hangt echt een Frans sfeertje. Er is s' middags een menu voor €12,50. Je krijgt dan soep, voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht en kaas of een dessert.Echt een aanrader.

accueil chaleureux dans un cadres sympathiqueles produits sont très bons - du fait maison - du frais - cuisine très finedu potage au dessert tout est bon - nous nous sommes régalésla semaine repas unique - qualité prix parfait -je recommande ce resto très agréable

We have visited this restaurant on several occasions with the previous owners. Now it is run by Rachel , yes waitress, chef and patron with a smile on her face. Good value food 4 courses, wine and coffee for 2 , 29 euros good value....More
