This used to be a wonderful restaurant, probably the best we have experienced in France, when the Wident family owned it. But in the couple of years since they left, standards have slipped. It is all in points of detail. The beautifully laid out tables of previous times are now laid out over plastic covers! The menu choices have been severely cut back. Lunch on a Saturday now has four choices, with three of those priced in the stratosphere. There is a menu at 25 Euros, but this does not specify a single dish. My wife and I chose the lowest of the detailed menus, and I had a three course meal which consisted of some duck pate ( pretty good, the best part of the meal) followed by two Spring Rolls containing shredded lamb served with a small amount of sundry veg. My dessert, which I translated as being something like a Bombe Alaska, turned out to be a sponge with ice cream, covered in custard. My wife's food was similarly disappointing. Service was very slow with only two waiting staff on duty, one of whom was the owner. Le Cygne used to be packed on Saturday lunchtimes with English visitors, but today it was only 1/4 full, and there was just one other English party, so I presume the word about the decline has got out. Very sad indeed to see a legendary establishment clearly gone to the dogs

Beautiful entrance hall. warm welcome. very beautiful room, you are not stuck to your neighbor and a lot of world is looking for this little pleasure. Lack may be some flowers in the restaurant room that would not remove anything from refinement and simplicity. impeccable service, smile and courtesy throughout the meal: hat. we had taken the menu flavors 32€ and the add-on deals/vins 15 €. quality and quantity were present (we had almost difficulty finishing dessert). truffle and macaron... a feast. a big thank you to the cook and to the one who presents us such pretty plates. Only disappointed by this smoked ham I'd hoped for more melting...I don't have the name of dessert in mind. There was rum. Enjoy..Leave yourself: invite your second half. We were rarely impressed like this.

This is the second time we have been here in 3 years. The first time under the old owners and today with the new.We thought the Menu Marche was not only good value but of a very high standard. Service was initially a little slow but once the first course arrived everything was perfect. The restaurant also has a very good wine list and at sensible prices for the quality of the wines. We had a bottle of Fleurie which was excellent.

We have been coming to this restaurant for several years and have always enjoyed dining here. However we had Sunday Lunch here last week and were disappointed. Although several tables were not taken, the service was slow and yet we felt as though we were an inconvenience to the staff. The food was as always delicious and the wine chilled to perfection.
