On our second day in picturesque La Baule we were drawn into Le "M" by a captivating set menu and we were not disappointed. We returned twice more for lunch and dinner. The set menu was simply wonderful and is fantastic value for money. The meat is of extremely high quality and to be honest there wasn't a single occasion where either I or my partner could fault the dish. Our first waiter was a lovely gentleman called Allan and he kindly attempted to speak English having noticed that our French was not up to scratch, we were pleased to see him on all of the three occasions that we ate at Le "M". One of the best places in this segment I ever tried in France. I very rarely go to the same place twice in a row, and it was one of the few exceptions as we wanted to try other items on the menu we couldn't try the first time. Carre d'agneu is simply fantastic, juicy, savoury and tender. Ris de veau braise (French veal stew) same verdict. Sea bass was more on the ordinary side, but yummy nevertheless, carpaccios again big and delicate in taste. Location is also great, sitting on the terrace you have a perfect view on the lively Place du Marechal Leclerc while enjoying the setting sun. We arrived without a reservation in hand .... on a Friday night. We ordered a Grim and a glass of Muscadet all were served fast and with a smile! Heart of the entrecôte (best part of the cow so they say ... and a freshly cut part of tuna sliced with veggies delicous! Of course we ordered half a liter of red house wine and for dessert a lemon pie and the M grand dessert (several mini dessert served on a tray . with green tea (my own wish of course . The bill came to 97 euros and we went home to our vacation home in Les Pins satisfied and definely not hungry! And we will be back (didn't Arnold Schwarzenegger say this in one of his movies? .
This was our third visit to this fantastic restaurant. The food is delicious, catering for all tastes, and great value for money. The owners are extremely welcoming and the staff are very attentive. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Highly recommended for a special occasion as well as a lunch time visit where the set menu is of good quality and value. The selection of wine is wide and varied. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and we intend returning many times in the future. We will not hesitate in recommending this restaurant to friends

We have rediscovered this wonderful Restaurant!!! The new owners, a French English couple, do a fantastic job!!!From the minute you walk in the door.You feel like you've been coming here for years. From the decor to the cuisine everything about this fine dining establishment is 5 star. And the owners are the back bone of it all.Very professional and friendly.The cuisine is wonderfully presented and expertly prepared, the staff are great,We come to la Boule often, and will definitely dine here!!!!! Bravo great job.
We enjoyed a tasty sharing plate while having a drink in the front of this buzzing restaurant. Then into the restaurant for a meal including salmon, monkfish Tuna and superb deserts. Big thanks to the team and the wonderful hostess, Carolyn. There is a relaxed happy atmosphere in this uniquely styled restaurant, lots of local folk, always a good sign!! Many thanks to Carolyn, chef Pascal and their team for a truly memorable evening; looking forward to our return!!
My partner and I stayed 3 nights in La Baule and chose to eat in M on each night..Carolyn (front of house) and Pascal (chef) have only had the restaurant since Dec 2016 but the reputation for good food, friendly and efficient service, atmosphere and a very welcoming ambience is clearly working. The restaurant was full on Saturday and Sunday with Monday also pretty busy. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Smart restaurant just off the seafront with large terrace for early evening sun. Drinks outside then table in for dinner. Fancy menu was quite pricey but excellent menu of the day for about 35 euros, which offered 3 delicious courses beautifully presented. Attentive staff who tried their English as we tried our French!! Lovely evening.

We ate here during our stay in La Baule. Whilst being a little expensive it is well worth the extra cost. We enjoyed an excellent dinner here, with good service, and very good quality food. Thank you to all.
So friendly, best vegan food ever and just a fab experience. They live dogs and make you feel so welcome. Thank you so much for a lovely few hours in a very nice setting
