I wrote an enthusiastic review a year ago, but we were disappointed on our recent lunch visit so I have to revise my opinion. The restaurant has to work harder in a competitive city for restaurants. We visited on a Saturday, and the restaurant was displaying its "Menu du Marche" sign outside. But once seated at the table we found the reasonably priced menu was not available on a Saturday (they should definitely take their sign in on days they are not offering this). We chose a la carte, and one of us had a generous steak and the other souris d'agneau (lamb shank). Both were good, but both offerings were essentially just meat and chips. For 23 euros a course, one would expect a more imaginati...
The appetizers were excellent and then came the main courses. The beef was cooked as requested but there was too much connective tissue so it was very hard to cut and eat. Other restaurants in town have found a better supplier for their beef. This is the second time visiting so I thought I would give them another chance to serve a tender piece of meat. The french fried potatoes were limp with no hint of crispness. The salmon came with a topping that did not add anything to the dish so my friends scraped it off. The front entrance to the restaurant is very deceptive. Entry is through a hallway into a great courtyard terrace that I will come back enjoy in nicer weather. The restaurant itself is located at the back of the terrace in converted stables with the stalls still intact and very much part of the decor. Four of us were here for lunch and enjoyed a nice 3 course daily menu with a kir to start and well priced wine. I tried the beef and it was good while the rest tried the other offerings and were very pleased. The staff were very friendly and one man working all around the room (could have been the owner) was all smiles all the time. Very glad we took time to stop in and we will be back.
Our hotel suggested this restaurant to us along with a few others and as we walked around town we checked them out. I immediately knew we would eat there when we walked through the courtyard garden to the main restaurant area. It is such a unique setting in an old stables. The food turned out to be just as great as the setting. I had the best foie gras I think I have ever had! They have a nice wine list and the staff bend over backwards to help you. It was a lovely evening and a great meal. I highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!

We went as a group of 6 people and ate in their lovely courtyard, we had a fantastic time. Staff were friendly, wine was good, and food was lovely. It was really great food, elegant, tasty and we enjoyed everything we ate (not fine dining or anything like that, but great quality)It's great for summer in their beautiful courtyard, but also their main restaurant has such character as it's an old stable. I'd happily go back in the winter and sit in there. Overall I'd definitely go back and definitely recommend it.
We came with a few friends for the "fete de la music" on 21 June. Loud and crowded. The food was so-so, the wine was great. The saumon tartare advertised fresh dill but had parsley instead. The duck was great, the pave saumon had a bit of "pie crust" breading slap dashed on it that was soft and moist rather than tasty, flaky or crispy. For the price, not worth the money. Our friends have been here many times and were very disappointed. We felt it was uninspired and probably wouldn't return.
Seriously disappointing service, food was greasy and meat inedible. Wine over priced. And don't even try offering your views or complaints; they'll dismiss you with offering a free coffee. A coffee would not compensate for the disgusting food and cold, ignorant service we received. Never going back
This place looked good and appeared to be quite popular. staff were friendly and the overall ambience was good. The food was a big disappointment , the starter soup was tepid. The mains, steak was tough and stringy, the chicken was under cooked. The deserts were the only enjoyable dishes.

€39 per head for a mediocre meal, not including drinks! I know it was 14th July, but that's no excuse. We definitely won't be going back!
