This is a beautiful basque house "'caserio" located in the most beautiful place of the Basque Country. The charm is amazing. The owner is the chef, the wife is a heart well coming lady, she comes and goes, checking everything is fine with your meal. I felt at home. The food was soooo good. The bread is way beyond any words can describe it. the desert, the butter, the wine selection. A place not to be missed.
This unpretentious hotel/restaurant served us an excellent meal. The paella was delicious, as was the merlu (hake in English). We were pleasantly surprised! Would have given an "excellent" rating had the servers been less overburdened (it was the last day of a four-day holiday weekend).
The paella is fantastic. I had a veal stew type dish that was fantastic. The salad with goat cheese was fabulous. Nice bottles of win at very reasonable prices. Service was very kind.
