The restaurant is beautifully located and the design is very appealing. Unfortunately, the food was insufficient to poor. We ordered fillet (medium). The meat was more than well done. It was anything but tender and when we asked for a sause, we were offered ketchup. In a meat restaurant, at least bernaise, hollandaise or a pepper sauce should be offered. We were done eating and our plate was not even picked up when we already paid. Also, the waiter did not ask how the food was. What should be standard in such a restaurant and at these prices. This restaurant is nice but the food is not recommended. Meat is one in many other places much better. I never wrote a bad recommendation until now, but the food and service is not recommendet.
A really lovely lunch at the weekend in this busy independent restaurant. Excellent service with good advice from the knowledgeable and helpful wait staff. Tempting and tasty specials and remarkably good value. We had malakoffs and roti du bouef (special) as well as lamb. All were lovely, and complemented by the cafe gourmand. Oh and they're dog friendly too! we will be back
Had excellent meal sitting out on terrace on warm August evening by lake. Lovely atmosphere. Very attentive staff. Interesting menu concept with each course grouped into themes such as land, lake,kitchen garden with 3 parts. Particular highlight for us were les champs beef starter la terre lamb main course. Highly recommend should book a table in advance.
We had reservations for a Sunday evening. Nice looking restaurant in a great location, but only one main course was available steak, which was very tasty but much too fatty. Our server (Noe) was excellent, other staff a bit less so. Compared to other restaurants in Vevey, we found Ze Fork to be overpriced and overrated.
