What a strange place for this supposed landmark of Colombian cuisine in the historic centre of Santa Marta. Flamboyant, loud colors around the dining room, with an eclectic collection of ethnic paintings and knickknacks, both profane and religious. We came to Santa Mesa as a group of twelve people. It is unclear whether the staff waiting for us was not prepared for such a big party despite the reservations, but the waiting was extremely long between the first drinks, the misconduct and the main course. Also problematic was a confusion in the order, some of the guests did not get what they had chosen. Even more problematic – for those who finally get what they had ordered, the dish only partly matches the description of the menu. ingredients replaced or simply lack what is very surprising for this type of restaurant, apparently praised by the Santa Marta facility. It still remains that the dishes were generally well designed and cooked for perfection, especially for the fish, with a very elegant coating. I will definitely return to Santa Mesa, even with a smaller party.
