Resto Le Basou - Reservar una mesa

I give this place props for some thought in the decor and theme... but that's where the positive stuff ends. We made a reservation for 12:30 and when we arrived they had given our table to someone else, said they were very busy so could only do the brunch menu. There was maybe 10 people in the restaurant. The waiter said he was the only server working. Everything was very slow despite there not even being that many people. We received our food at 1:40. That 1 hour and 10 minutes after our reservation. The entire time there was hardly a 'sorry for the inconvenience' or 'it shouldn't be much longer' they just seemed to be ignoring us. When the food did come it was not good. On their menu they...

Nous y sommes allés en groupe de 8. Ça a pris un moment avant qu'une serveuse nous remarque et quand celle-ci nous a vus, elle a crié "hé y'a quelqu'un!" au lieu de venir nous voir. Un membre du personnel est venu nous porter 1 seul menu en disant qu'ils n'avaient pas encore assez de menus.... un seul menu pour 8 personnes! Imaginez!! On a regardé le menu... les repas me semblaient intéresants, originals et bons! Dommage car en 15 à 20 minutes, personne n'est venu nous voir; pas de serveur... juste l'homme qui a apporté LE menu et a dit qu'un serveur viendrait nous voir. My daughter and I have been wanting to try this new restaurant on Taschereau near our house. It says many meals are$ 5.00.Today we went and it was really nice. It is a spacious restaurant and the decor is clean. It would be a great place for children because there is a lot to look at...old bicycles and even an old car.They have lounging sofas and a bar.Now...I had an Asian salad..$5.00 my daughter had a Basou salad..$5.00 and we shared a Bourgoniese Poutine...$5.00. After the meal we were full.They also have beer on tap and wine ..most are $5.00They do have full meals ranging between $15.00-24.00 but we were there to check out the $5.00 menu.The food was good deli food and the serving staff...

En franchissant les portes nous avons été acceuillis par le propriétaire en toute simplicité et de façon très agréable et chaleureuse. Le décor est très accrocheur et il règne une belle ambiance malgré le peu de clients ( heure tardive 15:00). Le menu est simple mais bien illustré. Le service est excellent et la nourriture de très bon goût. Un endroit que je recommande pour un Lunch,souper ou une soirée entre amis.

Good but to get a meal at $5 you have to buy a drink. service a little slow. limited choices on the menu.
