My husband and I came to Revolution Winery and Kitchen this past weekend for his birthday dinner. We were a party of five (went with mutual friends). It's getting pretty hot in Sacramento but we decided to reserve a table on the patio anyway. We were a bit sweaty at first who wouldn't be at 93 degrees! Although the sun beamed right at us through their makeshift plant/garden wall, there was plenty of shade for the most part! The ambiance made up for the rest. As the sun went down, we were much more comfortable. To be fair, I tend to prefer cooler weather so if you're keen to the heat of spring/summer, you'll be perfectly fine :)The appetizers were great! I think we had one of each. Our favori...

A friend of mine had recommended Revolution Wines and I decided to book a table for lunch for my husband's birthday. When we walked in I was a bit put off by the decor thinking I had picked somewhere WAY too casual to celebrate. But my friend highly recommended it, so we stayed. Boy were we pleasantly surprised! We had the cheese plate, the BLT sandwich and the charcuterie plate. Everything was presented nicely, and was so tasty! The cheese plate and charcuterie plate had some of their cajun nuts on them. Those are little gems! I was afraid with that name they'd be too spicy, but they weren't at all. We also tried the following wnes: Albarino, St. Rey Celeste and Renzo. They were all good in...

This place is 4.5, but I round down. The service is always primo, the ladies working here are really on point. They always make us feel great. Breaking it down, ambience and staff is 4.5 to 5. Food is 3.5 to 4. Wine is 4 to 4.5.Ambience is wonderful, definitely perfect warm spring day vibes. I did unfortunately forget to take photos as I was really feeling the moment tonight.Let's talk food: the brucetta 4.5 the beets 4.8 the mushroom au jus 4 the risotto 4.5All the dishes stood well on their own, great with the wines. Teroldego was the show stopper Had the Zin, Pinot, and Cab Sav but I would give then Zin 90 and no rating on the other two. The Teroldego was an easy 92+. Wonderful aromatics,... Took the family out for dinner. Laid back, friendly experience. We ate outside. I had the chicken, a couple of the kids had the impossible burger. All enjoyed our meals, service was attentive but not intrusive. The wine is good (I think they forgot to charge us for our second glasses! . All round a great place to eat al fresco in midtown.

We were completely blown away... From the warm and friendly service to the make-you-weak-in-the-knees (yes, it was that good) food (vegan and gf) and flight of wine. We have found our GO-TO place for date night here in Sacramento!!
