I’ve been in Chicago for 4 hours, first time here. Booked a hotel near the airport. Went to the closest bar and they were closin down and they recommended Richie’s. We walked in and were instantly home. Found a spot on the back side of the bar and were served quickly. Halfway through the first beer Rich, the owner, came and sat with us and instantly bought us a shot. We stayed for hours while trading stories (mostly of NBA basketball as I’m a HUGE Utah jazz fan). Great bar, will go back in the morning before my flight and grub. Rich made us feel like family. Never thought I’d find southern hospitality this far north???
don't give 5 star reviews unless I'm in love with a place. Richies tho is old school dive with a new school feel.I work nights and I come here for breakfast/dinner a few times a week on my way home in the morning.It's an Italian owned dive that the brothers sister and even mother operate. All food is made from scratch and is the way Chicago Italian food should be done.This is a real bar so don't come here unless you're prepared to chill with regulars and aren't offended by anything.I'm old as dirt and I'm glad there is still an old school establishment I can go to.
Came for my little brothers 29th birthday we enjoyed meeting Richie and his family loved us mom. #MomRock gave us a round of shots and I enjoyed the karaoke. Like they always say first impressions is the key I'll be back with bigger crowd. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
