Came here on a Sunday around lunchtime and the town was very busy and we feared the the bakery shelves would be almost empty as priviously experienced. Luckily there was still a decent choice and the food did not disappoint. Pies were delicious and the blackforest torte-slice was perfect! I am very picky with cake and that was one of the best blackforest cakes I have ever had! Highly recommend doing the detour from the A1 to have a break here.
I can't eat corn because it makes me sick so I asked the man taking our order if the hot chicken pies contained corn. He didn't know and went out the back to ask the chef. He came back and said "no, there was no corn in the pies". We ordered three hot pies and guess what, there was corn in the chicken pie. Everything was very tasty and fresh but just as well my inability to eat corn wasn't life threatening.
Reviewed some time ago , a quick stop for a great coffee served hot & cake , great service by excellent staff , this small shop is very clean & well presented , magazines / newspapers , pleasant clientele , food is fresh & well presented, keep up the great work & set the pace in a his busy neighbourhood!Many thanks Peter
My partner and I visited the bakery today, the young girl at the counter was excellent, the food was soooo disappointing, we purchased a pie and sausage rolls, not only were they verging on lukewarm/cold but the sausage rolls consistency was gluggy and so much onion. Their Famous scallop pie is beyond delicious and I don't usually like pies their Croissants Tho I would not recommend them plain .. I didn't have any pastries but they did look delicious ! the atmosphere inside isn't so cozy but still a nice bakery
Great selection of pies and sweet baked items. Smells wonderful and fresh. Staff are chatty and friendly! Wish I had space to try an eclair. Looked awesome. Take a walk around the adorable village of Richmond... Absolutely gorgeous.
Well placed across the road from the old prison but tucked away in a courtyard with lots of seating. Excellent country style bakery with heaps to choose from. Service was quick, but clearance of tables could be improved.

Lovely stop for the morning, nice coffee and food. Very popular and relaxed dining. Children can run around, pets underfoot.
