Rickey Meche's Donut King

Placed an order for a king cake recently, shipped to Houston . I have had Meche’s king cakes before and they are amazing. Unfortunately, while beautifully packaged and presented , the cake itself was very dry and tasteless. I ordered the Bavarian cream and there were only a few spots on the inner perimeter where a few teaspoon of the cream was placed. Normally the cream is in the center of the cake and oozes out when you bite into the cake. Very dissatisfied and a waste of $45. Next time, I will stick with Rouses in Lake Charles whose shipped product is as good if not better than buying in person.

The donuts here is awesome. My son comes here every couple of weeks for donut day before he goes to daycare and the employees are always so nice and friendly to him. It has been 2 years since I started donut day with my son. And I hope I have severalmore years

The only downside to this restaurant is the wait, but it's because it's a popular spot. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic. It's definitely a must-visit location in Lafayette.

I recently tried a King Cake from this restaurant for the first time for Halloween and it was amazing. The staff was very friendly and I think they make the best King Cakes out of all the Meches locations. Reserva una mesa ahora

Their cakes and traditional doughnuts are amazing. They pair perfectly with their coffee. My friends and I always make a pit stop before heading to church.

These are our favorite donuts?. fresh? light fluffy? just the right amount of icing. We LOVE them all!????????? My kiddos also love the kolaches!????

friendly staff! but in the years something has changed. the taste is definitiw there, but the donuts have become more dough-y than we are used to.
