Ricky's All Day Grill

I've written a review for this location in the past, and gave it a high rating; however over the past year, this location has gone downhill. We went today, after the lunch hour rush, and were asked to seat ourselves. Menus came sometime after, and there were long waits for our drink order and lunch order. Our server kept saying sorry, but since the restaurant was practically empty, we couldn't understand why there were so many delays. She didn't follow up for refills or to see how we were doing. I did, however have to ask if my beef dip, was in fact a beef dip... it was dripping with gooey, oily mayonnaise and the beef was shredded, and I could taste BBQ sauce. Went here with my girlfriend one night since we live just walking distance from there, first of all it took 20 minutes to get our drinks when the place was empty, not a table in sight. I had the sausage and perogies, she had the chicken and waffles, to start with my meal, perogies were over cooked, no flavour, and the sausage was 30 seconds from being completely raw, I had 2 bites and was ready to leave to go to McDonald's where at least I would be more satisfied. Visited Okotoks to attend an event there and we decided to go to Ricky's due to our friends special diet needs and because Ricky's in Airdrie is awesome. I ordered the stir-fry...the menu should have stated if you wanted vegetables with your noodles. The bowl was 3/4 full of noodles and the vegetables consisted of a few onions, few red peppers, few water chestnuts and what looked like to be sprigs of broccoli. There were about 4 shrimp. The noodles were the Ichaban variety not even rice vermicelli as one would expect. Very disappointed. Will not return there. Services was fine.

Love their pancakes. The service is a little bit slow, but pricing is good and it is a good place for friends to meet. Have had a few lunches as well - consistently decent food.

Went there with a friend recently. The idea was coffee and conversation. i lost track of the refills. We ended up staying for lunch. A friendly place with a decent menu.
