My friends and I were out for my birthday last night and the security/bouncer at the door confiscated my ID for being expired and fed us a poor excuse about how it was his right to keep my license. Also fun fact google has answers and so did the DMPD, my drivers license was still valid. The security here loves a power trip moment and started making threats about how he will show us what he’s capable of if we didn’t stop asking for my ID. They told us to never come back but I can assure you we won’t. If the boys at Republic on Grand didn’t have a problem, then neither should you.
Don’t give them your number or email they spam you with “events” and such. Other than that, the drinks were unnecessarily strong like they put way too much alcohol in them. Not even joking it was 95% alcohol and maybe 5% juice. There are plenty of other options downtown and Ricochet isn’t one of them spare yourself some time.
Most of everything was good, but 2 of the bartenders didn’t know the drinks that they were making when we asked for them (a Texas ranch water and a Long Island but with lime juice instead of sweet and sour) and they poured them in short glasses instead of tall like they’re supposed to be served.
