This was our first visit to,La Locanda. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. However my wife was seated beneath an air conditioning unit that sprayed her with condensation. The unit was wiped with a cloth but still dropped evaporation. It finally stopped but she had to get anew place setting plus some water spilled into her drink. We managed to complete our dinner, however it would have been much more enjoyable if they had just moved us to the nest table which remained unoccupied the entire time. The Pluses: The Bronzoni was great as was the Screpelle soup. The Minues: The Veal alla Parmigiana was tough and did not taste very good kinda of "gamey I wish I had ordered it with chicken instead. It took a second request to finally be served some extra marinara sauce. Otherwise, the waitress was quite attentive
Came for soft shell crabs with my daughter. Dinner was perfect as always. Honestly my favorite place in Newtown Square and perhaps the Main Line. Food, service, atmosphere, and other guests are all five start. No reason to look elsewhere unless you want sushi then go to a Japanese restaurant
My wife’s Boston Butter salad was excellent as was her Linguine and Cockles. My Beef Carpaccio and Ossobuco special were solid but not great. Service was good

The food is always exceptional! Eddy was our server and was very attentive and has a great sense of humor. Would definitely ask for him again

Meal was good but having to put up with flies at our table kind of put a damper for our meal !
Portions are small for the prices. Table are extremely close together. Waitress was great
