Food was alright and one of the waiters who served us was very friendly. However, we found a piece of plastic within one of the dishes and ask one of the waitresses to inform the kitchen. No one came back and gave any sort of apology regarding this until we ask for our bill. What we got was a rough and insincere apology that made us think that having plastic in our dish was some sort of joke. Didn't get to finish the dish that's been taken away and still have to pay for that within the bill. Honestly, in most cases, this is absolutely unacceptable.
One has to respect the fact that Waisenhaus went from almost zero vegan choice to a separate vegan section on the menu. And the things they put there aren't just your standard fare, or have you ever heard for fregola sarda (some sort of small tiny pasta balls)? Those were very nice, and don't panic, the parmesan on top is of the vegan kind. We found the ravioli less convincing, though, where one of the fillings was kind of weird. Still, the great location and service make this place a valid choice.
The food was very tasty! We made a reservation at 8 p.m. and the waiter apparently wanted to get off work soon, which was unfortunately very noticeable. Music was turned off and they were loudly watching videos on their cell phones. I hadn't really finished eating yet and they were already trying to clear away. It was all very stressful and we couldn't really enjoy the evening, which was a shame!
Beautiful, well-kept restaurant with a view of the Aare River. Well-trained waiters who are quick and attentive. Of the 4 dishes, 3 were very convincing. There is still room for improvement in the risotto. That's why only 4 stars for the food. 3 of the 4 open wines were very good. The white Pinot Grigio is only for people who like very light wine.

Several vegan options on the menu, but there is a lunch menu without any vegan options. We were happy to see that they cooked the spaghetti exceptionally for us, but that didn’t feel good.
Very expensive 12Fr. A coffee and a tea!!! Madness usury. Never again!
