A very nice hotel located directly on the shores of Lake Constance. An easy 15 minutes stroll to the town center and shopping area. We enjoyed dinner at the michelin starred restaurant, albeit a bit too long. Whereas we enjoyed the 5 course menu, the time it took from beginning to end (easily 3 1/2 hours+ is way too long. It seemed that once all tables were occupied (some people arrived late , the service accelerated. The terrace restaurant is nothing special, odd dishes but a nice wine list. Breakfast was nice and with a wide choice, only the service personnel needs to get the act together. During our stay I had back ache every morning, a clear sign that the mattresses were not top standard...
our first stay in riva was very pleasant. from our room on the 3rd floor we had a fantastic, direct view of the lake it is not better! our room is very stylish but also suitable (of course with air conditioning) and simply a dream for us the most beautiful room at the bottom sea. the breakfast buffet offers everything the heart desires. also eating in the riva sea restaurant is very tasty and on the map there is something for everyone (see homepage). we want to highlight the restaurant /service manager herrn kraft, which acts very carefully and competently. the riva as 5 star hotel combines excellent quality and luxury with a natural warmth. we have booked the next holiday before location.
very good food, nice atmosphere, but a few service marotten. for example, we shared a bowl as an appetizer. each of us has a teller with cutlery. but the bowl came without dressing. I had ordered the most expensive fish on the map with separate tomato salad. unfortunately I could not cut the tomatoes with the fish knife, and the broth did not come a separate dish, no butter knife and also not the question afterwards. personal was young, but not so young that they expected this service at this price class.
completely wrong concept. ibiza at the bottom sea? overnight instead of regional Mediterranean cuisine? which target group is set here? unbelievably a scandal that has become of this beautiful house. even restaurant manager herr force (always with good laune, excellent service and an absolute profi in what he does) has been looking for the far. a man who has understood as a true one. without men like him and many others who have already gone, this house of his soul is missing.
From booking to late checkout, the entire trip was in a different class. We were greeted by happy, loving faces at the reception desk. The service was excellent, check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable. Very basic choices for breakfast, but the food was high quality. Thanks for making us feel comfortable.
