I have passed this place a thousand times and always wanted to stop and try their BBQ. So last night I did. I can say I am disappointed. I expect with smokers onsite they would have pulled pork with a good smokey taste. Their pulled pork is lacking in rub and smoke taste, and taste in general. It's juicy but lacking. Their potato salad is really good. The proportions for the money is lacking. I think FABD is better in all categories.

They have no cups or one, so if you want anything to drink with your BBQ you have to buy expensive bottled drinks or water from them. Portions were decent sized and sauce comes with the sandwich, but was too spicy for me and gave me indigestion. Few tables inside and outside. Location was convenient to the water tower, but the atmosphere was truck stop.

The best brisket hands down, always tender and juicey. We get the extra large brisket with baked beans or green beans. The price is right for what you get!! The staff is always friendly and professional with a great manager Chrissy. River Road BBQ is worth the drive!!

I really wanted this place to be great. Sadly it's your typical Louisville BBQ. Everything was below average. Also if I eat in at your restaurant don't serve me food in a Togo container. Reserva una mesa ahora

This establishment is clean, the service is friendly attentive while the food is a complete knockout!! River Rd BBQ is a weekly staple the consistent flavors always deliver!

Some of the very worst ,flavorless BBQ I've ever had.The side items are bad ,the sauce is not real BBQ sauce.I can't see how this place could get a positive review
