Riverfront Steakhouse

Arrived for my 7:30 reservation around 7:25. Was not seated until around 7:50-8pm. Waited by the bar where the bartender complained about all the reservations for this night. Either help or be quiet? Was distasteful to hear her complaining. After being seated, the host poured us water and said our server would be with us in a moment. 20 minutes goes by and we still haven’t been approached. There was a server assisting the table beside and behind us from what we saw. It hurts to make this review but it needs to be made. I?ve been coming here to Riverfront Steakhouse for over a decade to enjoy what has been the tastiest, and highest quality steak in Arkansas that I?ve had. The service has also been second to none inthe past. Which leads me to my review of my dinner tonight with my wife for her birthday. Hostess was slightly rude and seemed fairly incompetent, as well as she did not make the effort to properly greet us however we were promptly seated. The salad bar while having a wide variety of options to make a salad, had tongs where the food stuck tothem and was a particular pain to operate. Our server Chip had a jocularity to him as well as a well met sense of humor andseemed to enjoy his position. Before the meal we enjoyed the delicious bread rolls, however, the taste reminded me of a cheapHawaiian roll youd buy for a trashy thanksgiving party, which leads me to believe that they slided those rolls into a muffin tinso we wouldn't notice. We are locals and this is one of our favorites. Imagine our surprise last night when we encountered a steak and lobster special for $37.00 along with specials on wine. add to that the best salad bar in 6 states for a paltry $6.00 per person and it was a win on all fronts. If you are a steak eater this is the place. I fix a great steak, and I've eaten at every steakhouse in town multiple times. The bone in ribeye was fantastic and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The seasoning was the perfect simple blend of salt and cracked pepper. I recently ate at Ruth Chris steak House and ordered the same cut and the Riverfront steakhouse ribeye was atleast it?s equal in flavor and tenderness.

Best steak in Central Arkansas hands down! Not to mention that super star salad bar and homemade rolls!! If you want a great steak every time, this is the place! Just be careful not to eat to much off the salad bar, or you will be taking your steak home with you…

It was good food but not as good as the first time but that was a long long time ago. The service was great once I asked to be waited on. All in all it was a great way to celebrate 28 years with my husband.
