TLDR- Our wedding was great, but the overall experience left something to be desired. Our wedding day was lovely. Service and food were fabulous, and the staff were kind and organized. The Maitre-D was good and made us feel supported throughout the reception. The views from the floor to ceiling windows in the space are stunning and it’s the perfect backdrop for a wedding or other event. Also, the venue is reasonably priced in today’s wedding market which is always a plus. On the day of the wedding, the groom and the groomsmen were supposed to get ready in a room we had rented for $250.00. This room was somehow double booked. Our wedding at River’s Edge was exactly what we had hoped for. We knew when we toured the space the first time and met the event coordinator, Sabrina, we knew that we were going to be well taken care of and that the weekend would be everything we dreamed of. The hotel is a beautiful, quaint place with attentive and caring staff, who not only helped the weekend of the wedding but fielded many questions and bookings from our guests. From the beginning to end of wedding planning, Sabrina was there to answer all of our questions. Everything was so well organized months leading up to our big day! The day of the wedding, my husband and his groomsmen got ready in the Cellar room, and myself and bridesmaids got ready in the Atelier room. Both of the rooms look amazing in our photos! Ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were breath taking. We received so many compliments from our guests, including the charcuterie boards, meal, dessert and late night snacks! Negative: The DJ that was recommended by the Arlington, she did a poor job, didn't follow the schedule given to her. The music was all over the place and guest did not enjoy dancing which is the most important part. We had an open bar and guests were cut off by staff and blamed on the bride and groom which was not true. It made it sound that the couple was cheap. Not the case. This venue is incredible. Sabrina rocked from start to finish. Not only was the planning excellent, but on the day of the wedding, Sabrina helped me keep my calm even during the parts where my family and wedding party were not on their game. I loved the service, and I heard from multiple guests that the service was extraordinary. The hotel was excellent, going the extra mile calling the guests to let them know when their rooms were ready. Thank you for making our vision a reality. Sean and Cory
We received excellent service from the moment they answered our phone call for a brunch reservation The maître de was efficient and helpful even in obtaining a tall glass of water for flowers I had brought in with me. Our waitress was very accommodating of my handicap limitations with buffet protocol We have eaten at fine restaurants in Europe and the quality at the River’s edge restaurant ranks among the best.
