I am 71 years old and I grew up with a Polish grandma who is one of 15 children. Eight girls and seven boys. And going to the roadhouse deli is the closest I’ve been yet to finding authentic Polish food that reminds me of my grandmother and her sisters, my aunts, authentic Polish cooking. Don’t waste your time, driving all the way down to Botany Village in Clifton. This is the real thing. New Jersey’s best no doubt.
If you’re in the area, or even if you’re not, you should stop here for a taylor ham egg n cheese. They throw a little polish twist on the NJ breakfast staple that will convert you to their style of taylor ham. They also make fresh, homemade Polish doughnuts that are delicious.
They make great sandwiches and have very good pierogi and kielbasa. An added bonus is a large vinyl collection with a turntable playing to listen to music while you wait for your order.
Best eastern european food in this area for sure! Really good chicken cutlet portions with choice of yellow rice and potatoes. Very reasonable price as well, will be sure to be back! Reserva una mesa ahora
This is the only place I will eat polish food moving forward. It's legit real deal and the best I have found in a restaurant.
