Road to Goa Indian restaurant has been a St Ives favourite for more than a decade.It is a non licensed restaurant situated in a small group of shops across the road from Hassle Park.Next door is an IGA where wine and other alcoholic beverages can be bought.Seating is both inside and out.The restaurant can be cramped and very noisy. The service is good with plenty of staff.The food is very good, with spice indicators on the menu. Generally speaking I think the heat in the meals has been modified to cater for the St Ives customers.Which I personally like, but I'm sure some might want a bit more heat.We had mixed entree, salmon, beef and lamb curries, basmati rice, pampadums, mango chutney , naan bread.Without drinks and desert, worked out about $50/head.Worth a try.
We had takeaway from this restaurant last week for the first time having only just moved to the area. We placed our order on line which was easy. We had the food delivered to us. We received an SMS informing us of the ETA for our meal and confirming same. The meal did arrive in that time frame. The presentation was clean and tidy no spills. We are not consumers of very hot curries so can't really comment on those. However the items we did have were delicious both mains, entrees and Nan Bread.The young man who delivered our meal was very nice and thanked us for giving clear directions for our address.We will order from Road to Goa again.
