After getting off at the top of Roche De Mio, sometimes you fancy partaking in a little sustenance before taking on the Tunnel, Levassett (Blue) or Les Sources (Red) you come across the unassuming Roche De Mio restaurant. When the sun is out, the deckchairs outside are absolutely full and when I was there there was a DJ playing, so is a really cool spot for the teen's and upwards. Making my way inside there was a bar area, and several seats, but the rear of the place was a picture indeed (check mine) My Soup was 9 Euro, Crepe 4 Euro and the Raspberry Tarte was 4 Euro. Even if it is only a self service, the fact that the restaurant is open even in the middle of the afternoon (practice when you chose to ski at the glacier between noon and two to avoid the crowd and that when you return you have the stomach in the heels !) and that the staff is nice (my son has overturned his hot chocolate, and the nice waiter has been eager to give him a new humour). I still put 4 stars because we had no other pretence than to eat at our hunger and to spend a good time with a beautiful view of the alps on the terrace, and from this point of view it is successful!
The food is overpriced and bad quality. The service was slow. The café just outside is great, the barista was very nice when he gave me the wrong drink and exchanged quickly. The view from the mountain is beautiful, so just get a drink on the terrace from the café and forget it the restaurant.
chalet on the slopesself with homemade soup, veggies peat, omelettes made on demand. it is a traditional kitchen and portions are huge....but the rates are a little expensive but good. It's not always easy to get the whole thing up the mountain!!!!

Date of visit 18/12/18 Ordered plate of chicken chips cost 15.50 Euros The chips were freshly fried . However the 2 thighs of chicken were lukewarm and very tough with not very much chicken . This in my opinion was not good value for money
On a few days we would stop here and get a hot chocolate priced at 4 Euros each (times 2) but when I got home it seems that they charged me 15 Euros. Check how much you are paying when using your card!!!
that if it is only the price paid is not worth the plate eaten in what remains a self-service banal buffet of hors d'oeuvre desserts basiques beautiful room view probably superb when it is beautiful
We only tended to stop for a drink and a wee. This place was as good as all the others, with great clean loo's. Delicious hot chocolate from a machine, and great beer, with the very best of views!

Great place for a pitstop & hot chocolate. Gorgeous views. Easy to get to and you can eat here if you want.
for a sun break with a great spot, go there you wouldn't be disappointed good value price
