Rockwood talks a good game about their burgers being the best but that isn't the case. Sure, you can make them on the premises from a mixture of ground meats, etc. but they don't taste any better than any number of places. And what's the point anyway when a table like ours orders one medium-rare, one medium, and one medium well and they all come out the same (medium well). I guess the cook thinks he or she is a baseball player batting Pretty good, right? Uh, no.
We are an older group and Rockwood is a little more trendy than we are comfortable with. The ambiance was fine server was great and friendly but the menu choices were not what we were expecting. Although very broad in range many just weren't our cop of tea. I'm sure others would find them interesting. Just review the menu before you go. My fish and chips were good and the leftovers made lynch the next day.
I routinely get the ribs, which usually are outstanding but I usually order at dinner time This date ordered during lunch and they were just average. Seemed like they had been reheated Still a go to place for good value and ribs.

Very nice restaurant! Nice atmosphere. Food is very good. Rueben sandwich is very tasty. Would definitely recommend. Servers are very attentive to every need.
One of my favorite dining places in Downers Grove IL. Love the pork chops and salmon and the cream of chicken soup on Saturday is the best.
This was my first time at Rockwood and I must say that the food and customer service was amazing. I will definitely be coming back again.
