My husband and a friend went to lunch on DINELA. We were THRILLED The Belvedere was on it this year. It hasn't been for a very long time. The food was very good but the Service was NOT as superb as it normally was. The Bus Servers were excellent and very attentive. The Server (sadly I don't remember his name) was NOT!! We kept asking for a few things and he would say yes, of course and then we never got what we were asking for. We'd have to ask a few more times. It just seemed like he wasn't paying attention very well at all. I expect much better service from a high-end restaurant like THE BELVEDERE!.
Timing was off and service was a little slow. Terrace area felt cramped with the huge “love” sign oddly placed in the middle. Music from DJ was nice. Food was okay, everything seemed sauce heavy and iced tea was alright. We asked for warm tea, and even though our server said okay, she ended up forgetting to bring it. Kids got a regular kids menu tea tower, but they ended up charging adults and the kids all the same thing. Would not recommend this afternoon tea to others.
Afternoon Tea set was ice tea with homemade ice with flower petals. I tried 2 types of ice tea and it's bottomless. The finger sandwiches was delicious where the bread is Japanese milk bread. Scones were beautifully made still warm when eat with homemade butter, cream, and jam. Jam looks like ketchup but doesn't taste like ketchup it's jam. Dessert bites are so good as well. They surprised me with opera cake for my birthday and took a Polaroid to commemorate Olive
The outdoor venue was lovely. Our waiters were very attentive and kept us in floral ice cubes and tropical ice tea. I wish the DJ played classical music instead of pop music, but it was still pleasant and not too loud! The sweets and savories were simply delicious. My fave savory was the salmon with caviar. My fave sweet was the orange blossom cookie and the matcha green petit.

We were celebrating my birthday which I noted on the reservation. I was surprised that no mention was made of this. I felt that the service was not up to par. The food was only okay. BUT the setting and ambiance was fabulous and that makes up for the negatives. Thank you for letting me celebrate my birthday. Jane Morgen
Great service! Food was outstanding...we had caviar bites and shared the Dover sole, so good. The GM (Martin) came and introduced himself to us and chatted for a while, he then sent a complimentary chocolate soufflé to the table. Thank you Peninsula Hotel for taking great care of us!
I tried to sit away from the crowd since I am immune compromised. They sat me in a comfy corner and then seated a huge 10 person table with kids next to me. The food is always good but next time I will sit outside. It was disappointing not to have my request honored.
The service was outstanding and is the main reason to come here. The milk bread they used for the sandwiches was delicious too! This outdoor tea was a little more casual and fun than the afternoon tea served in the Living Room. Very happy with our experience!

Wonderful experience dining at The Belvedere the food and cocktails were delicious and the service is top notch. Lyle went above and beyond for us. Would recommend for a special occasion or birthday celebration!
