Probably my 4th time eating at Roost. The tall waiter had a rather poor attitude from the start. When asked about the West coast Oysters are they like Kumomoto 's? he said no nothing like them and walked away. I knew we were in for an interestinhg experience. We ordered an expensive bottle of wine and while clearing the appitizers, the bus person spilled a glass all over my friend and I. While he apologized, the waiter who saw this didn 't even come over to say anything. Three of us ordered meat entree 's and two arrived over cooked. After our experience we just ate them since the hassle of dealing with him wasn 't worth it. When asked if he intedned to replace the spilled wine never mind of...
We really enjoyed this place! Very unassuming from the outside, it has a warm charm inside with the successful speakeasy charm they 're creating. The door is locked and you need a password to enter. Most importantly, the food was really nice, tapas style with full entrees also available. The lobster sliders were great and well-priced, I think. My husband enjoyed his chicken pot pie. There are nice side dishes, too. The salad was delicious but maybe a little small. The creme brulee dessert flight and crepes suzette were yummy (and we should have gotten just one, but couldn 't resist). We came out very happy we went and we will be back.
What’s not to love? This place has great ambiance, great service, great drinks and great food. We ordered the special heirloom tomatoes with fried avocado. Sooo good! Our server Jenna was amazing and recommended the field green salad, chopped with pistachios with extra dressing in the side. Also had a combination oysters with shredded horseradish. Again, so good! Main course filet with bernaise sauce and mashed potatoes and rainbow carrots. Truly loved everything. Can’t wait to go back.
This restaurant offers delightful food and a lovely atmosphere. The bistro-style dishes are both refined and served in a relaxed yet elegant environment. The grilled meats are fantastic, with a variety of sauce options, and the seasonal sides are superb. I highly recommend it! As for parking, there is a town parking lot just a block away from the restaurant. I dined here for dinner, and the cost per person was between $50 and $100.

What a great place. Travelled from Bergen County and well worth the trip. Great vibe. Place was hoping even on rainy night. Food was terrific. Lobster and spaghetti fabulous. Grilled fish terrific. The food is exceptional! The atmosphere is amazing and fabulous! I absolutely love this place! Jenna, our server, is the most attentive in the restaurant, and it's always a pleasure to have her. She's our favorite!
