The customer service at Roots is pleasant, but the quality of the drinks is average. The taste of espresso drinks differs depending on the barista.Also, I have observed that individuals are permitted to wander around and request money, which may be the local homeless population. While I understand the importance of supporting those in need, I have frequent disruptions during my study sessions. I have also encountered instances where I have been startled by someone tapping me on the shoulder from behind to ask for money, making it difficult to maintain my focus at Roots.
Wow this place is extremely amazing. It makes me feel so comfortable on a nice rainy day when I want to cozy up. There is a very lovely server that is so good at making coffee. It really makes my day to see such a wonderfully happy person serving coffee. I think some people call this person Seb or maybe his initials are SRL. Whatever his name is, he truly deserves a raise. CHEERS TO A WONDERFULL COFEE SHOP!
Hands down the best coffee shop in West Michigan! Possibly the best coffee shop on the planet! I usually come about 3 times per week and all of the staff greet me by name every time I come in. Staff are all super friendly! The coffee is great (especially their pour overs)! The bagels and spreads are straight fire!10/10 would reccomend!
This place is a gem! The atmosphere is unique and makes you want to linger. The food and coffee are wonderful and rge only thing lacking is space. It is always bustling here! Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, zero step accessibility. Street parking or lot parking adjacent to the shop entrance.

I like me a good single-origin coffee, especially Central American, so maybe that biases me, but they had 2 to offer, and brewed well. A good (but not awesome—after years in New Jersey, my standard is high) bagel to go with made for a delightful breakfast in this very cool little spot.
Damn. That's everything I want in a coffee shop. Straight-forward. Raw. The coffee and bagels were perfect. Being from the Detroit area, it's a complete bummer I can't just pop in once a week.If I'm ever back in the area, I know where I'm going for coffee.
Oh man oh man. Where do I begin? This was incredible. The bagels reminded me of when you flush a 5 iron and land a foot from the pin.I 10/10 recommend. Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly.
