Unfortunately our first visit to the rose and crown since Sam and Sian took over, it won’t be the last though. We booked as a last minute thing on a Friday evening. The pub was bustling and lively with plenty of regulars in the bar area. We went through to the restaurant to eat (me, wife and 11 year old son) Wife and son had the sirloin steak and I had the buttermilk chicken burger. The food took a reassuring time to come out (not so quick like some chain pubs where you know it’s basically been microwaved) the food when it arrived was delicious. The staff were pleasant, attentive and not overbearing like some can be. We will be back, in fact we have booked for Sunday lunch so won’t be long.
I attended a hen do here over the weekend and it was lovely and welcoming in the pub. We were in a seperate room to the main bar which kept our function private but also still with full acess to the bar and outside areas. The staff were polite and kind and always on hand incase we needed anything. The pub had a lovely homely feel to it and you could tell there was alot of regulars in there so always nice and reassuring when you go for the first time to see this kind of atmosphere. Would definitely recommend the Rose and Crown and definitely will be visiting again soon! Thank you for a lovely visit x
Had a private event here in their dining room, everything was done to perfection from the organising, to the service and to the food. Outstanding! Highly recommend this pub for a smaller events space, a lunch meal, an evening meal or simply some drinks and nibbles they have it all!
