I now live in the USA, but I grew up in Farringdon and have seen many owners of this pub come and go over the years. I have fond memories of sitting with my parents and siblings, sipping lemonade and eating cheese onion crisps in the pub garden every summer. Each landlord has brought their own distinct flair to The Rose Crown--the pub has always been a steady, consistent village staple. We went before it changed hands and everything was very good so we went back on Saturday and was told it had just changed owners with a new menu. Well we thought very poor the chicken portion was very small ,the spare ribs was a good portion but very dry hardly any sauce, the mussels were tasteless and not that many 12 for a main dish more rice and sauce than mussels . Burger was better. Starters were better the two Irish coffees had hardly any cream on them.total bill was £186 in that £20 service charge which we would have left a tip but not £20. Very disappointed .

I went to this restaurant to meet up with a friend and enjoy a Sunday roast. I usually don't rave about Sunday roasts, but this one was exceptional. I ordered the pork and my friend had the nut roast. The pork was incredibly tender and delicious, the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The homemade Yorkshire pudding and flavorful gravy were also top-notch. This was hands down the best roast I have ever had. I almost don't want to share this review because I want to keep this amazing roast venue a secret.

During my visit to the area, I decided to book a Sunday lunch based on a recommendation. It turned out to be one of the best meals I have ever had. The belly pork was incredibly tender with delicious crackling, along with parsnips and honey, glazed carrots, buttery cabbage, perfectly cooked toasties, and huge homemade Yorkshire puddings. I highly recommend this restaurant, my only regret is that I don't live nearby and won't be able to visit again in the near future. Reserva una mesa ahora

I had an amazing experience at this small restaurant! The pub has a cozy atmosphere and the staff gave us a very friendly welcome. They were attentive, polite, and accommodating. We both tried the Sunday lunch for dinner and it was incredible! The pork belly and roast beef were delicious. We will definitely be coming back soon, this place is a hidden gem!

A lovely lunch in beautiful surroundings with friendly welcoming service. One of our favourite places to eat. One of us is gluten free and there is a really good choice of options. Food is always delicious all year round.

Warm welcome, lovely atmosphere, great food, delicious beer, cosy seating by the woodburner, lovely staff, a really nice pub! Good to see the gorgeous well behaved dogs in with their owners, too. Will definitely return.

Had a really good night thanks to the staff. We had a group of 14. Ordering individually in advance was easy, service excellent and food very good. Definitely recommend Reserva una mesa ahora

Charlotte and the team are always so welcoming and the quality of food from the kitchen was great as usual specials for Burns night were excellent
