Rose Family Farm - Chip Wagon

If you enjoy french fries in their most natural form you will love these. First of all the drive to the Rose Farm from whatever direction you are travelling from, is a nice drive. Once at the farm there are many other options to keep you occupied. A huge enclosure for kids to have fun, plus in season all the produce they grow. There is frozen meats and amazing baked goods. But the main attraction for us, is always the french fries. Potatoes grown on the premises, cooked to perfection in nice clean canola oil and that's it. There is a poutine option but in this case, these fries need nothing else (ketchup and vinegar and the normal things are there too). They are picture perfect since nothing...

Yukon Gold potatoes may be the reason, but this is the best Chip Wagon in York Region and beyond. Only open on weekends (including holiday Mondays) from May 24th to Thanksgiving, it is worth a stop. As a working farm, they also sell bags of potatoes. In the store, you can buy Cowboy Steaks and more. Great fries and poutine! VERY REASONABLE prices. Drive east on Davis Drive, past Highway 48. Make a right on Centre Street and a left into the farm.

We live around the corner and can't wait every year in May for the fry truck to open. Fries are freshly cut and you can get gravy or even Poutine. There is seating outside to eat your fries there but we usually take them home since we're so close. They also sell frozen meats like sausage, steaks, and chicken as well as baked goods, jams, and honey in the meat shop. Note the fry truck is open only on weekends and holiday Mondays from 9-5.

I stop here every weekend to get the best poutine and pick up a new flavour of Pavlova that will knock your socks off. Anya's new Tropical Pavlova is so good that iI have gone through 4 of them. They have superb pies, butter tarts, jams, home made frozen foods, cheeses, honey. A beautiful drive, friendly people.... Say Hi to Norma and Zack.

Friendly service. Outdoor seating on peaceful, beautiful farm. Delicious fries. My husband and I have been going for years, usually just the two of us. But sometimes we go with friends and family. They also sell fresh produce and baking. Enjoy!

Drive from Beaverton at least twice every summer.....best fries we have ever had. Our family even stop en route to our home from Burlington. Clean, plenty of parking, washrooms on site. Don't miss it! .

Love this place on the summer. Friends I have taken there have said it was one of the best poutines they have had.i like the local friendliness of the place.
