I m new for calgary, this is my first onsite and I really feared that i will miss my south indian traditional food. I came here before two months and I had no options to cook or taste idly and dosa. Two weeks before I had a chance to get batter at S T groceries and I got this SI Foods dosa batter. Wow!!! what a taste... really thought that having idly/dosa with my Mom's preparation. Really worth for money..... my suggestion to the Indians please try it once, you will really love this batter....
We enjoyed the Sun non-veg buffet. Tasted authentic and simple. Chicken curry and mutton curry were tasty, nice fish pakora and unlimited crispy dosas (any type). We also enjoyed sambhar and rasam and dal. Money was well spent and the owner and helper were happy and cared that we liked the food and were satisfied. Paratha was little tough and could be more fluffy. Curry leaf rice was ok. Will definitely go back.
I had a great meal at SI foods with my family. They served all of the traditional South Indian foods which I love, and it tasted just as good as in India itself. The place is small and simple, but the family who owns it is very nice, and the food is awesome! I would highly recommend SI foods to anyone in Calgary who wants to enjoy authentic indian food!
Good with authentic South Indian taste and probably the best South Indian restaurant in Calgary. Important aspect was preparation using all natural and Fresh ingredients and no use of artificial colours or inputs. A significant transformation was in ambience which puts this in higher orbit. We had been there yesterday, food was awesome and delicious. We tried kothu poratta and Panneer burji dosa along with our normal dosa and mini idly. It was amazing. Good luck Mani and team!!
I enjoyed my meal when it finally arrived. I noticed that diners who arrived after me received their food more timely. I had to wait a sincere long time for my scary. I had to ask twice.
For the South Indian food lovers out there, this restaurant is the perfect stop. The dosa here reminded me of my home. It's a treat to both your eyes and taste buds to have a meal here.

"the dumplings and chicken feet taste quite good. the sauce on the chicken feet is alright, I find it a little too greasy, or maybe that's just the way how its supposed to be. service is fast but probably because I'm the only customer during my visit!"

"Even though it was a slow night at the restaurant (due to a holiday), we received subpar service. Our chicken tikka was delivered 25 minutes after the rest of our order. The manager did refund the dish, but we still left feeling unsatisfied."
